I liked everything about the hotel - the location, the room facilities and the ability to drink coffee from the coffee machine in the lobby. I was not disturbed by the noise about which I've read in the feedback in Booking.com. I also appreciate Gabriele Rau's hospitality, she wrote us when the room was ready that we could come earlier for check-in, and when we came, showed us everything.
The communication from Kangarooms prior to my arrival was very bad. Shortly after I booked and paid for my stay through Booking, I received a letter from hotel stating that my payment was not complete and that I needed to pay 3.46 EUR through PayPal. There was no explanation for this extra payment. I didn't understand why I should pay extra and I couldn't do it via PayPal because I don't have a PayPal account. I wrote many letters to Kangarooms and Booking customer support and didn't get any answers. Booking also couldn't reach Kangarooms by email or phone. I was afraid that I would not be able to stay at Kangarooms when I arrived. I spent a lot of time and nerves in uncertainty. Finally I called customer support, was waiting on the line for about 1 hour while they managed to reach Kangoorooms and received information that it is a city tax that was not included in the price and I can pay it upon arrival. This situation of not being able to contact the hotel seems completely unacceptabl
